PGL’s regulated and nationally recognised teaching qualification provides learners with the knowledge, understanding, and practical skills required to prepare them for teaching in a wide range of contexts. Once you complete this course, you can become a Trainer/Instructor in any area you are competent within, subject to qualifications and experience. Deliver exciting courses at your own organisation, or become an approved Trainer or freelance associate for companies across the UK. The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is the required qualification to deliver tuition in the adult sector.

The QA Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) qualification is an introduction to teaching for those who work or would like to work in the further education, or skills sectors, for education, colleges, independent training providers, or local authorities.


Course Details

  • Duration: 4 Days. This course consists of four days of theory and practical exercises, plus additional coursework to be completed independently.
  • Delivery Methods: Open Public Course- Classroom.
  • Assessment: In the assessment, learners will be required to:

    • Take part in micro-teaching*
    • Complete a session plan.
    • Complete coursework (via completion of workbook questions).

    Micro-teaching is an activity where learners prepare and deliver a short teaching and learning session to their peers and then evaluate their practice.

  • Certification: Successful learners will receive a personalised QA Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) e-Certificate immediately after their results have been submitted, subject to any required actions.

  • Awarding Body: Qualsafe (QA)

ASSESSMENT

Theory assessment (4 x written assignments, 1 x set of written questions, 1 x scenario) and 1 x practical assessment (micro-teach)

OTHER INFO

If you have an existing in-date First Aid at Work, you can attend our 5-day course and become a First Aid Instructor once you have completed all aspects of the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) course. During the course, a FAW Refresher will be taught and used alongside the AET to support learning. Ask our team for more info. PGL can help you to register as a Trainer and support your new journey!
