This NPORS accredited Instructor course aims to provide the knowledge and skills to become a certified trainer in either pant or non-plant courses and train others. Note, there are novice and experienced instructor routes available. Please discuss with us if you’re already an existing, experienced instructor.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

For delegates wishing to become an NPORS instructor. An NPORS operator test will be conducted on day one of the course, delegates must pass this test in order to proceed with the training.

COURSE DETAILS

DURATION: 5-10  Days depending on level of experience. 10 day novice course for a maximum of 4 delegates.

DELIVERY METHODS: Open Course | On Site.

  • If this course is delivered on site at your premises, you must ensure you have a safe working area, suitable in size to the scheme rules and correct, safe and examined equipment & plant. Note, this is your responsibility as the booker. Please speak with our team if you are unsure or require more information.

PRE REQUISITES:

  • Current valid certification, for categories you wish
  • A completed NPORS application form
  • 2 passport sized photographs
  • A current CV outlining career history and industry experience
  • Current approved Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work certificate
  • Current approved Health and Safety qualification:
    • NEBOSH National General Certificate OR Certificate in Construction
    • IOSH Managing Safety
    • LANTRA 5 day Safety Course
    • CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme
    • CITB Plant Managers Safety Training Scheme
    • CITB Managing and Co-ordinating Plant Course
    • NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Safety
    • SVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Safety

ASSESSMENT: The NPORS assessment includes:

  • Theoretical knowledge and understanding examination
  • Assessment of the delegates classroom lesson presentation
  • Assessment of the delegates practical lesson instruction

CERTIFICATION: On successful completion of the course delegates will hold an NPORS Instructor Award. This must be refreshed every five
years.

OTHER INFO: Good understanding of spoken and written English.
