PGL Midlands Charities for 2024

The team at PGL Midlands are passionate about helping, supporting and raising awareness for charitable causes
across the UK to help those that may need emotional care, financial help or even a roof over someone’s head.

All charitable causes need the support of businesses, and other fundraisers across the country to make a
difference. We shall strive to make a difference to our chosen 3 charities this year and we hope you will join
us in raising as much money and information about these wonderful causes.

PGL are proud to support:

    across the UK.

  • Each Buddy Bag is filled with essential items, including toiletries, a toothbrush, underwear, socks,
a book, and a teddy bear, offering both practical necessities and a source of comfort.

How and What Are PGL Midlands Doing To Support The Charity?

PGL has sponsored the Buddy Bag Foundation by designing and supporting their leaflet distribution which

The Great Tommy Sleep Out

The Great Tommy Sleep Out is an initiative by the Royal British Legion, inspired by the iconic image of a
Tommy—a British soldier—in a trench during World War I. This event calls on participants to spend a night
sleeping outdoors, experiencing a fraction of the challenges faced by veterans and serving personnel.
Funds raised through the Great Tommy Sleep Out go directly toward supporting the Legion’s vital work.

The Great Tommy Sleep Out

Statistics

  • Seen a 45% increase in the demand for our services for homeless veterans over the past year alone.
  • The cost of living crisis is already having an impact and young, single, male veterans, in particular,
can struggle to access social housing and many find themselves living on the streets.

How and What Are PGL Midlands Doing To Support The Charity?

Well, the Military strikes a personal chord with many of the PGL team, including our wonderful freelance
associates, assessors and businesses alike of whom have either served, or have a connection with the
Forces. Those who have served will always remain part for the Armed Forces family and together we need to
do more to raise the plight of many veterans and ex serving personnel who are finding life tough post
service.

PGL Midlands are proud to raise awareness and hopefully fundraise a decent amount towards this cause by
signing up to the Great Tommy Sleep out. Members of our team will be sleeping out under the stars in
March 2024 whilst fundraising for vulnerable veterans. Help us by donating, or sharing our media pages –
we’re hugely thankful in advance. We’ll be sleeping out on the 21st March 2024 – keep an eye out for our
pictures, our Tommy beanies and general updates throughout the night.

Every donation, no matter how big or small helps. You can help by donating on our just giving page which
is directly linked to the charity.
