Our Butt Fusion Welding course is aimed at operators and supervisors to ensure they deliver the best and safest practices for butt fusion welding techniques. This course will provide delegates with a clear and concise understanding of butt fusion techniques, covering the knowledge and skills needed to join pipework ranging from 90mm pipelines to 1400mm trunk mains.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The aim of this course is to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills required to join pipework using butt fusion techniques in a ductile manner and to understand what can cause brittle joints and service failures.
Upon completion of this course, individuals will be able to:
- Identify the most relevant equipment, pipe, and fittings
- Complete pre-checks on pipe and equipment
- Understand and demonstrate safe practices
- Apply industry best practices and techniques for butt fusion welding
- Inspect joints and beads for quality assurance
