This regulated and nationally recognised qualification allows learners to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to effectively perform the role of an Assessor in a wide range of contexts.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The Qualsafe Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who need to:

  • Assess occupational competence in the work environment
  • Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding outside the work environment i.e. training setting, colleges, awarding bodies etc..

Transferable to any sector that the learner has occupational competence in, this qualification provides a national benchmark for best practice in assessing.

Successful learners will leave with the skills required to assess competency based qualifications such as NVQs as well as vocational qualifications such as first aid.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN

Throughout the qualification trainee assessors will build an in-depth knowledge of assessing, covering key topics including: principles and practices of assessment, types of assessment methods, the importance of quality assurance in assessment processes and more.

  • The principles and requirements of assessment
  • Different assessment methods
  • How to plan assessments
  • How to involve learners and others in assessments
  • How to make assessment decisions
  • Quality assurance of the assessment process
  • Planning the assessment of occupational competence
  • Adhering to legal and good practice requirements when assessing occupational competence

Before applying for this course, please ensure you meet the following criteria:

  • You have the occupational skills, knowledge, experience, and, where necessary, qualifications to be able to assess the relevant qualification(s).
  • You can assess a minimum of two learners per regulated qualification.

COURSE DETAILS

DURATION: 2 Days of classroom tuition plus online (virtual support)

DELIVERY METHOD: Open Course / Online options available

ASSESSMENT: 3 x Learner Workbooks (includes theory and practical assessments).

CERTIFICATION: Successful learners will receive a personalised Qualsafe Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (RQF) e-Certificate

COMPETENCY: Ability and skillset to assess a range of qualifications.
