Description
Avoiding Danger from Overhead Services (GS6)
Working near overhead services presents significant risks, including electrocution, serious injury, and even fatalities. It is essential that all personnel involved in planning, working under or close by, or moving equipment near overhead lines fully understand the hazards and apply the correct safety measures to prevent accidents.
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the guidance and best practices for avoiding dangers associated with overhead power lines and cables. It focuses on the correct planning, risk assessment, and implementation of safety controls, following HSE guidance note GS6 (fourth edition) and Energy Networks Association Technical Specification ENATS 43-8. The course equips participants with the knowledge to develop and apply a suitable and sufficient Safe System of Work (SSOW) to ensure compliance and reduce risks on-site.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
