Ladders are responsible for the majority of WAH accidents
To provide learners with the knowledge to select appropriate work at height equipment for a task, correctly locate and safely use ladders and stepladders, and inspect ladders and stepladders for damage. Learners will also be provided with an understanding of current relevant legislation in order to be able to thoroughly inspect ladders and stepladders, identifying safety critical faults and to record equipment details and inspections as outlined in PUWER.
Any persons of whom are required to inspect and use ladders or step ladders.
During this informative course, learners will:

ASSESSMENTS: There are assessment activities:
CERTIFICATION: Upon successful completion, learners will receive a certificate valid for 3 years for Ladders & Stepladders for Users
OTHER INFO: For On-Site/Client Premises courses, please ensure you can supply suitable ladders/steps for training purposes, if not supplied by PGL.
SHORT COURSE GRANT: This course is eligible for the following short course grant via CITB:-
SKILLS & TRAINING FUND: Are you a CITB-Registered employer, up to date with your Levy return and employ between 1-250 direct staff or CIS (No PAYE).
