This CITB Health and Safety Awareness course highlights potential hazards when working on site and provides practical advice on keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. It covers your individual and employer’s responsibilities, including what you can do if you think anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk.

COURSE DETAILS
Duration: 1 Day
Delivery Method: Open Course / Online (Remote) options available / Onsite at request (Minimum numbers will apply)
Assessment: 1 x multiple choice assessment
Certification: Successful learners will receive CITB Health and Safety Awareness certificate valid for 5 years
Competency: Understand basic Health and Safety standards on site.
Mandatory entry requirements from CITB:
- Good understanding of spoken and written English. Please contact us if you have any concerns in this area
- You will need to provide a valid ID for the course, such as a copy of your passport or driving licence.
How to claim my CSCS card (Green, Red, Blue):
- To get a CSCS Green Card you must complete the Health and Safety Awareness qualification, or recognised equivalent. This used to mean you had to attend class room training for a full day. Now the Online Green Card Course allows you to complete the training from your computer in half the time. Once completed it is valid for a full 5 years. FUNDING SUPPORT
SHORT COURSE GRANT: This course is eligible for the following short course grant via CITB:-
- Grant Rate & Tier: £60 (Tier 1) | Grant Code: Automatic
SKILLS & TRAINING FUND: Are you a CITB-Registered employer, up to date with your Levy return and employ between 1-250 direct staff or CIS (No PAYE). If you answered yes, this training MAY be offset with funding as part of an application for between £2,500 up to £25,000 for training your workforce.
