Non Licensed training Refresher
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
- Workers who may need this level of information, instruction and training include all types of tradesmen whose work will require them to disturb asbestos-containing materials, such as:
- Drilling holes in asbestos materials
- Laying cables in areas containing undamaged asbestos materials
- Removing asbestos containing floor tiles
- Cleaning or repairing asbestos cement sheet roofing or cladding
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN
- Understand what works are classified as non-licensed
- Understand the control measures that will be required to undertake non-licensed work with ACM’s
- Understand how to undertake specific tasks involving disturbance of ACM’s, including:
- Drilling holes in AIB and textured coating
- Removal of small AIB panels
- Removal of asbestos cement based products
- Removal of articles containing asbestos such as floor tiles, gaskets
- Understand the requirements to prevent the spread of asbestos and control exposure
- Understand waste handling procedures
- Understand how to adequately decontaminate after working with non-licensed ACM’S

ASSESSMENT: Theoretical & Practical Assessment
CERTIFICATION: Delegates successfully completing the course will receive an accredited certificate of attendance.
COMPETENCY: Be familiar with non-licensed works. This UKATA course is sold under license from a UKATA approved professional member for Asbestos Awareness

- Grant Rate & Tier: £30 (Tier 1 Refresher) | Grant Code: GET2827
SKILLS & TRAINING FUND: Are you a CITB-Registered employer, up to date with your Levy return and employ between 1-250 direct staff or CIS (No PAYE). If you answered yes, this training MAY be offset with funding as part of an application for between £2,500 up to £25,000 for training your workforce.
