This NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction course aims to give you an understanding of your health and safety responsibilities. It also provides the skills you need to identify, evaluate and control a wide range of construction workplace health and safety issues.
With the knowledge you gain from the NEBOSH Construction course, you will protect yourself and others in the workplace by effectively managing day-to-day risks. The NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction Certificate is one of the UK’s most widely respected and in-demand health and safety qualifications for the construction industry, teaching in line with the UK HSE’s (Health and Safety Executive) guidance. Covering the core health and safety issues involved in construction, the Certificate provides candidates with the practical skills and technical knowledge to manage hazards, identify, and assess risks in a construction workplace. Enrolling staff on this course enables industry employers to improve the safety culture within their organisation, aiding them in minimising workplace risks and injuries. This also allows your business to comply with the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.
The NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK) is now a Level 7 qualification according to the SCQF Framework. This means the CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) will continue to recognise this qualification in future for CSCS card applicants.
The NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction qualification is aimed at managers, supervisors and anybody who manages construction health and safety as part of their duties within their organisation. The course can help to minimise workplace injuries and illnesses whilst also strengthening your company’s health and safety culture.
The NEBOSH Health & Safety Management Construction Certificate programme consists of 13 elements:

DELIVERY METHODS: Open Course | On Site.
ASSESSMENT: The assessment is an open book examination (OBE), which will be based on a realistic scenario, that will test both what you know and what you can do. You will be asked to carry out a series of tasks using evidence from the scenario and the knowledge gained through your studies and revision. You will have 48 hours to download, complete and submit your assessment which you will have remote access to.
Your assessment will be marked by an external examiner appointed by NEBOSH. These examiners are chosen for their experience and expertise to ensure that learners are assessed by the very best in our industry.
TQT: The NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK) will involve a minimum of 68 taught hours, and approximately 40 hours of private study and background reading to prepare for the 48 hours open book examination.
CERTIFICATION: NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction. Holders of the NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK and International) are entitled to Associate Membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).
