What Is the Paediatric First Aid Course?
The Paediatric First Aid course is a Level 3 RQF-accredited qualification designed to teach essential first aid techniques for treating infants (0–1 year) and children (1+ years).

What You’ll Learn on the Course
This practical and engaging course covers the most common and critical first aid incidents involving babies and children, including:
- Roles and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider
- Managing an unresponsive infant or child (CPR, AED use, recovery position)
- Choking management
- Seizures, febrile convulsions, and epilepsy
- Anaphylaxis and use of auto-injectors (e.g. EpiPen)
- Asthma, diabetes, meningitis, and allergic reactions
- Fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains
- Head, neck and back injuries
- Wounds, bleeding, and burns
- Shock, including hypovolaemic shock
- Eye, ear, and nose injuries
