It covers UKATA Category B training, which is suitable for non-licensed and notifiable non-licensed work (NNLW), depending on risk level and material type.

What types of tasks fall under non-licensed work?
Examples include:
- Removal of asbestos cement roofing sheets
- Drilling textured coatings under controlled conditions
- Replacing asbestos floor tiles
- Cleaning up asbestos debris (non-friable)
If you’re unsure, we can advise whether your job role requires this training.
Is Notifiable Non-Licensed Work covered?
Yes — we cover NNLW requirements, including notification to the HSE, additional health surveillance, and record keeping.
Can I take this course online?
No — due to the hands-on practical assessments, this course must be attended in person.
How long is the certificate valid?
UKATA recommends annual refresher training. Your certificate will show a 1-year validity from the date of issue.
