CITB (SEATS) – Site Environmental Awareness Training

Effective management across the construction environment

Our CITB Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme (SEATS) one day classroom based course will provide candidates with an introduction to environmental issues on construction sites. This course meets the basic environmental knowledge that the sub-contract chain is required to prove to major contractors. It also covers the environmental aspects of the CITB Health, safety and environment (HS&E) test.

Environmental issues are of great importance in today’s world, especially to those who work within the construction industry. The CITB SEATS training course is designed to teach organisations about the benefits of good environmental management as well as demonstrating the process of how workers can take steps to improve their effect on the environment

  • The significance and importance of the environment.
  • A basic understanding of Environmental Management Systems.
  • Site waste management.
  • Prevention of pollution and water management.
  • Use of energy and resources.
  • Being a responsible contractor and a good neighbour – including statutory nuisance, communications, archaeology and heritage.

COURSE DETAILS

DURATION: 1 Day.

DELIVERY METHOD: Open Course / On-Site | Online (Remote) options available.

ASSESSMENT: This is a highly interactive course delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussion and group work. You will be continuously assessed and required to successfully complete a multiple-choice test.

CERTIFICATION: Successful learners will receive CITB Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme (SEATS) certificate valid for 5 years.

COMPETENCY: Understand environmental standards on site.


FUNDING SUPPORT

SHORT COURSE GRANT: This course is eligible for the following short course grant via CITB:-

  • Grant Rate & Tier: £140 (Tier 2) | Grant Code: Automatic Payment

SKILLS & TRAINING FUND: Are you a CITB-Registered employer, up to date with your Levy return and employ between 1-250 direct staff or CIS (No PAYE). If you answered yes, this training MAY be offset with funding as part of an application for between £2,500 up to £25,000 for training your workforce.
